Theo and m:os
Theo contributes questions, methods and frameworks to help you examine a problem. You remain responsible for its interpretation, evidence and decisions.
Method guidance for the work
Theo helps connect the kind of question you are asking with a way to investigate it. The MindrianOS plugin applies that guidance in your working session. Local project operations belong to the plugin and its host; Theo does not independently authorize decisions or commit changes to your DataRoom.
Look for the source attached to a method response. A useful suggestion and a source-backed method are different kinds of contribution.
The plugin’s Theo connection
Theo reads problem shapes, not content. The plugin’s method-routing requests use the kind of problem and the methods in play. An opaque install identifier supports the connection.
Keep the boundary specific
The plugin’s outbound guard is designed to prevent DataRoom content from being sent through this method-routing path. This is separate from how Claude processes the context you give it, and from any other tool or connector you configure.
Review the privacy information and your host’s policies before sharing sensitive context. Local storage is not a claim that every part of an AI session runs locally.
Connection and account access
The current plugin manages its Theo connection during use. Its existing connector may appear under the technical name mindrian-brain. Keep that identifier unchanged when following diagnostics.
A website account is optional for the local MindrianOS plugin installation. A direct Theo connection in ChatGPT or Claude uses a separate OAuth sign-in and consent step. Signing in on this website alone does not connect a host.
The install identifier
The plugin stores an opaque identifier at ~/.mindrian/theo-install-id.json. It is generated for the installation rather than derived from your account. To rotate it, use:
/mos:doctor --reset-install-idThe command reports install id rotated. Do not include credentials or identifier values in a public support report.
When Theo cannot be reached
Check the connection from Claude Code:
/mos:doctor --brain-smokeThis diagnostic names the failing stage. A connection failure does not supply evidence for a method answer; keep the missing source explicit while you investigate.
