MindrianOS
Privacy and data ownership

Your data, your control.

MindrianOS is local-first by design. Your Data Room, your research, and your IP never leave your machine unless you choose to share them.

How data flows

Three places. You own all of them.

Your machine

Data Rooms, methodology artifacts, meeting transcripts, and all room content live on your local filesystem. MindrianOS reads and writes to your disk. We have no access to your files.

The Brain (optional)

When you connect to the Brain for framework enrichment, queries are sent to our Neo4j graph. These queries ask for framework recommendations -- they do not contain your room data. Queries are stateless and not stored.

Exports (your choice)

When you run /mos:export or /mos:publish, you control what is shared and where. Exports go to destinations you configure -- Vercel, GitHub, or local files. We never export on your behalf.

For universities and TTOs

Built for institutional governance.

  • No cloud storage of researcher IP or patent data
  • No training on user content -- your data never improves our models
  • Brain queries contain framework names, not your proprietary content
  • Compatible with university data governance and IRB policies
  • FERPA considerations: student work stays on the student's machine
  • No account required for the free tier -- no personal data collected
